| Rich Agar is OUT!
Although the club have not released a statement and do not wish to discuss the issue, sources close to Hull FC have confirmed that Agar may or may not have had half a shandy to celebrate a family wedding, and that he may have stayed out beyond his bedtime at seven o'clock. He will be resigning in due course in shame.
Well done though rich, good performance and for once, what a coach has said may be more than just the usual coaches' idioms.
After last year, both coaches and players probably needed a surprise loss to see how they would respond, and although not intentional, as Rich himself said, and on the basis of the performance against Quins, it probably told us more about the team than straight wins might have done.

| Richard Agar should be applauded for his recruitment, releasing the dross and actually showing he's the boss by dropping Tansey, as it's something that was seriously lacking last season with the players behaviour.
as for his coaching ability, the jury is out, simply because of the evidence of the previous 2 seasons. I thought friday night's gameplan wasn't much different to last season to be honest, only that we have better players and attitude to carry it out. it will be interesting when we play Wigan after hopefully beating Castleford,if Agar can devise a gameplan with variety to beat them. Personally I don't think Wigan are much different to us. I don't think their pack is better than ours, and we're equally matched ine the backs. I'm sure Longy, if fit, will have a few things up his sleeve.

| Quote thehullwhitestar="thehullwhitestar"I'm not a big fan of Agar's. He hasn't proved anything yet, apart from the fact that he knows how to recruit a decent squad, starting with the pack. IMO he will show us exactly what quality of coach he is within the next 5 or 6 weeks when we will have played Wigan, Leeds and Bradford.
I'm not holding my breath and I suspect that he will show us that he falls short when compared to the better coaches in SL but give him the next two months maximum and we should know either way.'"
We've already beaten far better teams in St's and Hudds, so the fact you are using them as a yardstick for success shows one of 2 things, you are stuck in 1999 or you are blinded by SKY's continual talk of the big 4 still.

that wigan game is shaping upto to be a classic game both sides going into it in decent form espcially if both sides can win at the weekend. i think we have the edge in the forwards but think wigan have better quality and experience in the backs
