| Ok so these names look to be the possible candidates and the favourites. Who do you think should take to the helm. Me personally would have liked to have seen John Kear there but he has ruled him self out of the running.
Also does anybody know when it's meant to be announced?

| I Don't want any of them, there needs to be an option for "RLFans member who would do a better job" that could be anybody on here (apart from Tin Soldier )

| All second rate apart from Scully who is untested in a coaching environment.
Not sure who it should be however it needs to be the person who is the best man manager according to Scully but he appears to have recently left the job

| Quote Wires71="Wires71"(F) - None of the above.'"
I`m with you there, none of the above are in any way good enough, in fact i am struggling to think of any English/British coach that i would like to see in the job. At a push i would say Hanley, but that in itself would be a risk, for the obvious reasons.
Pity a certain Mr Edwards was allowed to drift away from our game, would`ve been a certain shoe-in for me...

| We've had Tony Smith and we've had Brian Noble and neither has been able to turn us into a team who can consistently beat Australia or New Zealand. Maybe it's not the coach which is the problem.
Likely England team is something like
Briscoe, Fox, Bridge, Eastmond, Atkins, Tomkins, Myler, Peacock, Lunt, Graham, Ellis, Tomkins, Burgess. Morley, Crabtree, O'Loughlin, Maguire.
That's why we won't win, not the coach.

Maybe this pair should be given the opportunity to put their money where their mouth is (especially the fat bald one, however I doubt he has much money left what with all those houses he has lost). Phil Clarke could be their special advisor, this would result in Lynch and Scruton being Englands starting props leaving the Aussies quaking in their boots!
Personally I don't think it would make the slightest difference who they pick, IMO even Wayne Bennett or Craig Bellamy would find it impossible to get to turn the Aussies over in anything but a one off fluke.
